This is an old cedar plank Snipe. I bought it around 1985 in Richmond, CA. The hull was in very good condition but the 1/4" plywood deck was shot. Martha and I learned a lot from this project, especially about applying epoxy. The end result was pretty good. We never intended to keep it for use at SI. Somewhere along the way we decided to give it to Tony Lester, a young friend and long time Snipe sailor at Lang Bay.
